And through an annual drive, our employees contribute financially to United Way. The Aviva Charitable Foundation matches each dollar contributed by employees on a dollar-for-dollar basis. The Foundation also matches employees, retirees and qualifying agents’ charitable contributions to qualifying educational institutions. The Aviva Charitable FoundationThe Aviva Charitable Foundation was created in December 1994 to assist the company in its commitment to our communities. Currently the Foundation is committed to making a difference through grants to nonprofit organizations in the following areas: Grant Requests The Foundation’s Board of Directors reviews grant applications, and letters of approval or declination are sent within eight weeks of the grant deadline. The foundation is a tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
